ALABAMA CONTINUES TO LOOK AT WAYS TO BRING MEDICAL MARIJUANA TO THE STATE. THE DEBATE GOT A LITTLE HEATED AT TIMES FOR THE STATE’S MEDICAL MARIJUANA COMMISSION. STATE CAPITAL REPORTER RESHAD HUDSON HAS THE REPORT. RESHAD: THE ALABAMA MEDICAL CANNABIS COMMISSION MET FOR THEIR SECOND MEETING TODAY— IT WAS CREATE AS A RESULT OF LEGISLATION TO STUDY THE PROS AND CONS OF MEDICAL MARIJUANA IN ALABAMA. “Aren’t we just inching toward recreational marijuana” A LOT OF FOCUS AT MONDAYS MEETING WAS ON THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEDICAL AND RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA, BUT THIS COMMISSION’S GOAL IS STUDY THE MEDICAL EFFECTS. “I don’t understand why anyone at this committee table would not find a way some compassionate humane way” SENATOR TIM MELSON FRUSTRATED AT TIMES DURING THE MEETING BY THE OPPOSITION TO HIS PLAN OF MEDICAL MARIJUANA.
