Nurse talks to community patient with dementia.

Mrs Dawson. Can I have a little chat with
you? Did my daughter send you? She worries too
much. Well, yes, your daughter called me yesterday
but I’m only here to see if I can help. No thanks. I don’t need help. My daughter
helps me. Perhaps I can help your daughter to help you.
Can you tell me how you manage your tablets? Oh, I forget to take them sometimes. The doctor
told me I have a bit of a problem with my memory but I’m OK, really.
Yes, I can see that. What if I put all your tablets in this dose box? Then you’ll know
when to take your tablets. I don’t know. I don’t like strangers in the
house. I understand but you know me now and I can
come when your daughter is here if you like. Well, I’m not sure. If my daughter wants you
to come then I suppose it’s all right. That’s great. I’ll come back tomorrow when
your daughter is at home.
