Police, Vet Clinic & Neighbors Help Keep An Eye On Neighborhoods



law enforcement officers joined forces with a veterinary clinic and a museum to help keep our pets healthy and our neighborhoods safe our Joel Hillen tells us all about pups on patrol yeah she loves her walks and loves it loves a tour of the city and keep her eyes open David Ludwig rescued Fanny two years ago she's the best she's just a sweetheart she wants to cuddle and you know hopefully if there's a bad guy loose she'll turn that turn the switch but I don't know yet the two took part in pups on patrol a program that enlists dog owners to be on the lookout as they walk their dogs the police do a lot for us and Ken any way that we can you know help out and give back and and be of assistance to them you know we got to work together and keep everybody safe my job is to walk dogs so he goes everywhere with me so I love that program and Mike it just keeps our community safe Jennifer has been a professional dog walker for the past ten years definitely in like certain blocks that we walk you know I just watched for like you know suspicious activity and things that don't aren't normal on our street jennifer recently got Prince Caspian a Chihuahua mix he's pretty chill like he is just really inclusive and everything he just found his bark but he doesn't really use it as part of the event dr. Jim of Animal Planet fame opened his clinic to provide free vaccinations Prince Caspian got his last booster shot I appreciate everything he's done for all the years with all the animals like all over the world and it means so much to me because you know they're like my family a family looking out for each other in wheatridge joel Hillen covering Colorado first and we have a link to more information on pups on patrol at CBS Denver com
